As you all will know most of the staff members, live on site. It is due to this that we have grown together as a family, so when one of us leaves it is hard to say good-bye.
Herman is one of our Ranger/Maintenance fundies; he has been working here at Ubizane for many months now and has formed a strong bond with the staff here. If it is not his and Casper’s naughty antics that cause us to giggle, it’s his sharp witty comments across the breakfast table.
Last night Yolandi and Casper held a Hobo themed farewell for Herman at their house, everyone was dressed up in there rags and pimped out with mud in true hobo fashion. Herman arrived with a cardboard sign which had written “hobo president”, however it was our general managers, Tiaan, Natasha and their 7 year old son Mathew, who won the title of “best” dressed! With torn clothes and shocks and little Matty’s teeth all black and colored in…. They sure deserved the title and the giant gob-stopper (that Matthew was very pleased about)
All of us here at Ubizane from the bosses to the general staff wish Herman all the best of luck in the future and hope he enjoys his six month trip to Australia… Lucky guy!!!
On the more festive side, our Christmas tree’s are looking amazing, and are just waiting for a few presents to be scattered underneath their branches. Our Christmas cards are beautiful and being sent out over the weekend, and we are all excited for a Christmas in the bush!
