One evening and one beautiful experience...

High tea is served, a buffet of fresh fruit salad smothered in a creamy yogurt, baby potato wedges dusted with a BBQ spice served with a tangy sweet-chili dip and last but not least, a sweet Bannana loaf with fresh cream. There is only one thing left to do after eating these delicious treats, and that is to have a glass of cool fresh pineapple and carrot juice, gaze into the brightly coloured fever tree forest and wait, wait for the game ranger to arrive.

He arrives promptly at 3.30 pm, and immediately gets the show on the road. walking out of the restaurant into the parking bay our stomachs begin to tighten, all in hope that we will see the big boss, the mayor, the president? no the king the King of The Wild! The excitement is over powering and i can see it on the faces of the guests too... Tonight will never be to be forgotten...
Hamilton kicks the Land Rover into gear and we're off. Leaving Ubizane we caught a glimps of a couple Giraffe chomping away at the roadside treas, and a few zebra blocking the road, but nothing was going to hold up this adventure of a lifetime...

We enter Hluhluwe Park and are welcomed by 3 wildebeest, 9 Zebras and 10 Elephants, the aura around these majestic animals was one that words are incapable of describing. But even though we are all amazed by these few Beauties Hamilton knows what we are looking for.
He Begin's to look for tracks, scoping out the road in front, looking for anything that will lead us towards what we are in desperate need to see...
The Roads are long and winding, and we're all asking a million and one questions to our experienced and wise ranger, but he is still dead set on finding what we want.

A few kilo meters pass, weve seen Rhino, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra and Elephant. The African sun is cooling as it drops just behind the mountains and the disappointment starts to fester.

We loose hope, "maybe another night" we sadly whisper to one another...
We begin our trip out of Hluhluwe park along a different road, one we haven't been down yet, with little excitement we believe its only home time. The cold breeze attacks the Landy, we grab the blankets and wrap ourselves up.
Suddenly I notice Hami is on edge, he is looking all over the place in a way non of us have seen before...
Following something nobody else can see he rushes down a road, Mawisiya loop, and is on the look out.

Our stomach's tighten again in excitement, then ahead we see them, all of them, lying casually along the side of the road. Amazed and in disbelief we finally got found them.

The King and his Queens were waiting for us to approach all 8 of them. They were just as magnificent as I had imagined, maybe even a bit more. As we crept closer they became alert but still stayed seated on the roadside.

I couldn't believe my luck!!!
